Joining the technorati

I know for many of you this only goes to show how far behind the curve I am. But now I'm getting into this stuff I have to sign up for everything to see how it works...then I can write about how it works.
Thos who are already 'in' will know the above leads to a Technorati profile where I can now start to promote the blog....doesn't it?
Time will tell.
